Erwin Tungol has spent nearly two decades building systems that don't fail the people depending on them, from maintaining IT infrastructure across a ten-branch internet cafe chain in Manila, to onboarding universities across the MENA region during a pandemic. That instinct, to spot what's about to break before it does, is precisely what he brings to DMF.
As Co-Founder and COO at Dynamic Management Formulae (DMF), he works alongside the DMF founding team to build the operational backbone behind NoWen: the processes, integrations, and systems that surface the financial blind spots that can silently take down a startup or SME. Meticulous by nature and deliberate by design, Erwin studies every option before committing to one, which is why what DMF delivers to founders holds up, without the complexity.
Erwin's Story
Erwin's career began in Cavite, Philippines, not with a vision, but with a problem to solve. From building custom desktops in a computer retail store to keeping ten internet cafe branches running across Manila, he was always more useful with his hands in the system than standing outside it. In 2009, that instinct took him to the United Arab Emirates, where he spent nearly a decade simultaneously teaching, managing IT infrastructure, and stepping into interim administrative leadership, before moving into EdTech in Dubai, where the next chapter began.
It was there that Erwin met Fella. When she shared the idea that would become DMF, he said yes, not because he had a roadmap, but because he trusted the person asking, and for someone who never moved without being sure, that trust was enough. Sharing her belief that no founder should be blindsided by a financial crisis simply because finance isn't their expertise, he co-founded DMF to surface those signals in plain language, so founders can focus on what matters most.
The early years came with challenges he hadn't anticipated, but he worked through them and kept going. Today, he leads DMF's operations, building the processes, systems, and operational foundations that allow NoWen to function and deliver, with the same methodical approach he has always brought to every system he has ever been part of: study it deeply, get it right, and make sure it works for the people who need it most.
